Preregistration of the Lateral-Difference Identity Trial II: a full-text comparison against seven prior articulations

Abstract

Conditions fixed in advance for a second identity trial on the lateral difference. The first trial (10.5281/zenodo.21827989) is closed and every verdict it returned stands; this trial exists because its instrument carried two defects its own closure note prints. The candidate as preregistered there was understated: office-neutrality had been purchased by subtraction, so what was compared was narrower than what the working note claims. And the comparability rule converted two references’ printed self-limitations into suspensions rather than findings, so three of seven comparisons were left unadjudicated. This trial states the candidate in full rather than in a subtracted form, frozen at a deposited version — 10.5281/zenodo.21840121, the working note at 1.5.1 — and scoped to the lateral difference alone. The same seven references are read at full text, not at reconstruction, under a blind grid whose questions are fixed and deposited before any text is opened; the grid is deposited here with the preregistration so that the conditions claimed for those sessions can be checked rather than taken on assurance. No comparison under this instrument has been performed and no verdict is recorded here.
