Climate Change and Disease Risk in Bangladesh: A Century-Scale Warming Trend, Day-by-Day Patterns, a Six-Disease Seasonal Synthesis, and the Albedo-Driven Glacier-Melt-to-Flood Pathway
Abstract
A century-scale climate trend analysis for Bangladesh (CRU TS4.07, 1901-2022), district-level (n=64) mapping of recent climate extremes (2017-2025), a seven-disease seasonal risk synthesis drawing on this author's six prior Bangladesh One Health papers (HPAI, rabies, Nipah virus, Japanese encephalitis, dengue, acute watery diarrhea), and a literature review of the black-carbon/albedo Himalayan glacier-melt-to-flood pathway. Discloses a MERRA-2 reanalysis discontinuity found while validating NASA POWER daily climate data against station-based climatology, offered as a methods-transparency contribution.
