Custom Polymer Formulation to Injection-Molded Products: An Integrated Materials and Manufacturing Case Study of Dongguan Renergy Plastic Technology Co., Ltd., China
Abstract
This paper analyzes how industrial polymer projects often fail due to gaps between material selection and manufacturing processes. It presents an integrated development model linking thermoplastic elastomer and engineering plastic formulation with prototyping, injection molding, quality assurance, scale-up, and international B2B marketing. Using Dongguan Renergy Plastic Technology Co., Ltd. as a case study, the paper reviews their product portfolio—including TPE-S/TPS, TPV, TPO, TPU, TPEE, TPA, PVC, and engineering plastics—and service model, which spans requirement analysis, candidate formulation, lab samples, customer trials, formula optimization, bulk production, and global delivery. The study contextualizes the company's approach within current trends like recyclable elastomers, polymer reprocessing, process sensing, and multi-objective injection molding optimization. It notes that performance data are based on company claims without independent verification. Finally, the paper proposes a structured technical-commercial workflow for Renergy to market comprehensive material solutions rather than just individual resin grades.
