Abstract

AbstractThis study has aimed to document the traditional knowledge of raw fibre extraction and its utilization from stembark fibre of a wild plant species Helictres isora L. As the ecosystems are alarming on the Globe by theconsequences of all industrial, urbanizing, marketing domestic and agricultural, activities can be reduced bypromoting popularizing and enhancing the utilization of natural fibres. Documentation of this type of knowledge isnot only to preserve it and also necessary for sustainable environment for future generations.
