KM Model: Advanced Methodology for Visualization and Structural Isolation of Dynamic Features in the Solar Corona

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This paper presents the KM Model—an innovative image processing and visualization methodology developed for solar corona observational data. The primary objective is to identify and amplify fine, highly dynamic coronal structures that remain hidden within noise or high-brightness glare when using standard processing techniques. The methodology comprises four sequential evolutionary phases: KM Model 1 (Baseline Model), KM Model 2 (Inverse Modification), KM Model 3 (Oscillating Structure Detection), and KM Model 4 (Multi-Channel Spatio-Temporal Decomposition). The images in this work utilize data processing/imaging techniques based on the ASPIICS coronagraph (ESA Proba-3 mission).
