Comparing Public Search Interest in Endometriosis: Google trends analysis of Australia and India
Abstract
Investigated public interest and health information-seeking behavior related to endometriosis across Australia and India using Google Trends data from 2017 to 2025. Used endometriosis-related search terms, including dysmenorrhea, pelvic pain, and menorrhagia, across the two regions. Australia demonstrated consistently higher relative search interest across all search terms, while both countries showed increasing trends over time for the specific search terms. These results provided insight into international differences in public awareness initiatives while highlighting the need for further research into healthcare access, stigma, and health information related to endometriosis.
