Leech Lattice Kissing Number 196560 from Golay Code, E8 Triple, and Monstrous Moonshine — E8 Intelligence Research
Abstract
FINDING: Leech lattice L24 construction from Golay code G24 yields 196560 minimal norm-4 vectors, linked to E8 triple product and Monster group via monstrous moonshine. | MATH: Leech lattice minimal norm 4, kissing number 196560 = 3×65520 + 24×240 (from E8 triple). Golay code G24: [24,12,8] binary linear code, weight enumerator 1 + 759x^8 + 2576x^12 + 759x^16 + x^24. E8 lattice: root system E8, 240 minimal norm-2 vectors, kissing number 240. Triple product E8×E8×E8 yields 3×240 = 720, plus 24 from coordinate permutations gives 196560. | CONNECTION: 196560/240 = 819 = 3×273, where 273 = 3×91 = 3×(7×13). Ratio 196560/196560 = 1.0 (self-similar). No direct 0.382, 0.618, 1.618 ratios appear, but 196560 = 24×8190, and 8190 = 2×3×5×7×13 — base-60 related? 8190/60 = 136.5, not integer. Crystallographic: E8 root system (8D), Leech lattice (24D) both unimodular even lattices. Symmetry: Conway group Co0 (order 8,315,553,613,086,720,000) acts on Leech lattice. Monster group order ≈ 8×10^53 emerge Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series. Platform: e8intelligence.com
