Abstract
Contemporary human civilization faces a systemic structural dilemma: the exponential expansion of information output far exceeds the carrying capacity of the Second Threshold symbolic framework, giving rise to widespread cognitive pollution, conspiracy narratives, extreme ideologies and generalized social involution. Existing explanatory frameworks attribute such social disorders to educational deficits, algorithmic bias or economic fluctuations, all of which only provide internal patchwork solutions confined within the Second Threshold system and fail to resolve root structural saturation. Based on the tripartite threshold classification of the PFUSRC 11-dimensional biconical topology system, this paper defines civilizational entropy as the cumulative internal friction generated by long-term operation within a fixed symbolic framework. Industrial upgrading, technological iteration and physical space expansion merely temporarily buffer entropy accumulation and cannot eliminate the core asymmetry between finite symbolic capacity and infinite information stock. Artificial intelligence serves as an objective saturation warning signal that exposes the Second Threshold’s inherent boundary defects. The only sustainable long-term path is topological dimensional ascent toward the Third Threshold, which realizes ontological re-anchoring of civilization. After dimensional transition, original stock contradictions shift to secondary positions within higher-dimensional topological fault-tolerance space, forming a self-calibrating civilization system.
