Hierarchiology: Justification of a New Scientific Discipline within the Framework of Civilizational Science and the Forms of Matter

Abstract

Within the framework of the evolutionary-ontological model of the "Seven Forms of Matter" (7FM), which describes seven levels of reality organization, civilization is defined as Form 3 — a qualitatively new level emerging on a biological basis (Form 2 — life). However, most civilizations implement this form not harmoniously but as a "repressive superorganism" — a hierarchical system built from sapientoids (human-like intelligent beings characterized by individualism, reflexivity, and self-organization) and maintaining integrity through mechanisms of manipulative Hierarchical Information Immunity (HII), whose key operational tool is disinformation. Sapientoids, being products of biological evolution, possess qualities that contradict the requirements of a rigid hierarchy: predictability, absolute loyalty, and the blocking of meta-knowledge (knowledge about the nature and structure of the system itself). It is precisely this contradiction that makes them "constructively unsuitable material" and necessitates compensatory suppression mechanisms (HII). Existing disciplines study only individual aspects of this phenomenon. The article substantiates the need for a new discipline — Hierarchiology — within the framework of Civilizatiology (a meta-discipline studying civilization as Form 3). The object, subject, and methodological base are defined, including systemic-evolutionary analysis, quantitative methods of HII theory, and semantic analysis using SQ (Semantic Quantum — a unit for measuring meaning and informational influence). Key research questions are formulated: about the inevitability of the repressive phase, about the "immunodeficiency" of HII, about technological transformation, and about the exo-civilizational perspective (the hypothesis of the extraterrestrial origin of human civilization and its influence on repressive structures). The theoretical, diagnostic, and prognostic significance of the new discipline is discussed.
