Generative Paper 9: From Photon to Electromagnetism
Abstract
The previous two papers established the elementary organizational mechanisms underlying photon formation within the ψ–Θ–χ framework. First, the local interaction between the continuous fields ψ and Θ was formulated through the discrete transition state χ. Next, repeated cyclic reconstruction of an individual coupling was shown to generate the minimal stable organizational process identified as a photon. Although these results explain the local dynamics of an individual photon, they do not explain how large populations of photons collectively propagate as a coherent electromagnetic structure. The transition from local photon dynamics to collective electromagnetic organization therefore represents a fundamentally new organizational problem rather than a simple increase in scale. This paper addresses that problem by introducing the concept of collective coupling chains. Unlike an individual photon trajectory, which describes the temporal evolution of a single ψ–Θ coupling, a coupling chain represents the instantaneous organization of many simultaneously active χ transitions. This distinction separates local organizational dynamics from collective organizational behavior and provides the appropriate foundation for analyzing electromagnetic propagation. A central result of this work is the recognition that the underlying xyz frame is not a physical geometry. It is an organizational coordinate system used solely to represent the orientation of χ transitions during local coupling events. Within this organizational space, every χ is a forward-oriented limiting vector possessing a positive component along the organizational propagation axis while remaining free to adopt different transverse orientations determined entirely by the local ψ–Θ coupling state. Consequently, elementary propagation is inherently directional, yet never purely linear. Based on these organizational principles, the paper demonstrates that two independent problems govern collective electromagnetic behavior. The first concerns the efficient maintenance of an existing coupling chain. The second concerns the possibility of collective forward propagation itself. While the first is an organizational efficiency problem, the second is a kinematic organizational constraint arising from the admissible motions permitted within the ψ–Θ–χ framework. We show that purely linear collective propagation is organizationally impossible. Since every elementary transition is inherently oblique within the organizational xyz frame, repeated linear reconstruction inevitably causes collective propagation to drift away from the propagation axis. Stable long-range propagation therefore requires continual cyclic reorganization of successive coupling chains. Collective helicity consequently emerges not as a geometric assumption, nor as an optimization strategy, but as the unique organizational mechanism capable of maintaining persistent forward propagation within the admissible dynamics of the ψ–Θ–χ framework. The familiar electromagnetic helix is therefore interpreted as the observable manifestation of repeated collective organizational reconstruction rather than the motion of a rotating physical field.
