Bricklaying Machine

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This document presents a conceptual design for an automated brick- and block-laying machine intended to reduce physical strain on human masons while improving placement accuracy, repeatability, and construction speed. The system integrates a sectionized traction-belt saddle chassis with telescopic movable legs to support the loads, hydraulic and computer sequence control, pressure-triggered actuation, computational alignment oversight, and a centralised material feed station supplying bricks and mortar. The concept provides a foundation for prototype development, simulation, and controlled field testing in real construction environments.
