5.1 Information Field Attenuation Theorem

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This article proves the attenuation theorem for the Information Sector ℐ. The information field attenuation rate is determined by the algebraic connectivity and the number of information nodes : . The attenuation theorem is the mathematical expression of the "forgetting" mechanism of the information field — information is not permanently preserved but attenuates at a geometrically determined rate. This article derives in detail the form of the attenuation law, determines the algebraic origin of the attenuation constant, and analyzes the complementary relationship between attenuation and the thermodynamic arrow.
