EMPOWERING LEADERSHIP, JOB CRAFTING, AND ISLAMIC WORK ETHICS: A TRIFECTA FOR PROJECT PERFORMANCE

Abstract

Project performance is critical for today’s world because of complexities and dynamic environment and novel ways for improvement of project performance still very significant in project management literature. This study focusses on how leadership style can enhance project performance by providing and mechanism and controlling the negativities of employees by establishing ethical standards. Grounded JD-R theory, the study proposes that how job crafting provide mechanism for enhancement of project performance and Islamic Work Ethics is incorporated as a contextual framework. Smart PLS used for data analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings of study s confirm that empowering leadership positive impact job crafting, which in turn positively affect project performance. Data reliability and validity, including discriminant validity through HTMT tested for measurement model. The study contributes to leadership and project management literature by explaining the mechanism through which empowering leadership drives performance and by integrating Islamic ethical principles into the model.
