Christology in Dilexi Te and Its Relevance to Missio Ad Vulnera and Missio Inter Vulnera: An Asian Perspective

Abstract

This paper unearths the Christological foundations of Pope Leo XIV’s Apostolic Exhortation Dilexi Te and highlights its relevance for contemporary missiology through the concepts of Missio ad Vulnera and Missio inter Vulnera. As it investigates Christ’s association and identification with the poor, it incorporates Asian contextual analysis. This paper argues that Dilexi Te offers a transformative framework for mission, which encourages active engagement with human suffering and facilitates dialogue with Asian theological perspectives.
