Trial finds AI access raised physician scores on clinical cases

In a randomized trial of 249 physicians in Indonesia, Kenya, and the Netherlands, researchers tested whether access to GPT-4o changed performance on standardized clinical cases. Physicians with access scored higher overall, with the largest reported gain in Kenya, but the study did not measure patient outcomes or actual clinical care.
