Portugal preschool program shows promise for preventing child sexual abuse
A preschool program called CARE tested in northern and central Portugal was reported as acceptable and safe by children and educators. The study also found early improvements in children’s emotional recognition and in rejecting “secrecy” tied to abuse, with mixed results about disclosure.
