Rapid tests got more sensitive when antibodies were positioned carefully
A study found that controlling how antibodies face on both the test particles and the test strip improved the sensitivity of lateral flow tests. The approach detected two cancer markers at once with little cross-reactivity and was checked against a hospital reference method in 28 serum samples.
