New analysis finds survival in Duchenne muscular dystrophy has improved over time

This systematic review and meta-analysis examined survival trends among more than 13,000 people with Duchenne muscular dystrophy across 53 studies. Survival was longer in studies of patients receiving home mechanical ventilation, and survival estimates improved over time, but treatment associations cannot establish that a particular treatment caused longer life.
