Aptamer-Based Sensing with Fluorescent Light-Up DNA
Abstract DNA aptamers are widely used in the construction of fluorescent sensors, typically employing labelled fluorophores as signaling indicators. However, this covalent labeling approach suffers from several limitations, including complex and costly chemical modification, inco...

Morpho-functional innovations in Shibantan fossils fuel Ediacaran frond debates
The Ediacara biota represents Earth’s earliest complex macroscopic organisms, but their biology and ecology remain poorly understood. Here we report Dengyingia pennata gen. et sp. nov., an exceptionally preserved frondose fossil from the late Ediacaran ( ~550–543 Ma) Shibantan li...

New insights into the evolution of Charlie Chaplin worms (Histriobdellidae, Eunicida, Annelida)
Abstract Histriobdellidae, the so-called Charlie Chaplin worms, is an enigmatic group of microscopic commensal annelids associated with crustaceans. They crawl by alternately attaching their adhesive anterior appendages and left and right huge lateral ‘feet’, and bear a complex j...
