Self-help Groups as community development institutions and the Sustainable Development Goals: A policy-centered analysis of rural Haryana

Self-help groups (SHGs) are among the most widespread community development institutions in rural India: village-based, all-women collectives pursuing community change through savings, credit, and federation. Their alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is rarely...

Lights, Camera, Abuse: A Scoping Review of Scholarly Perspectives on Intimate Partner Violence in Cinema

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a pervasive global issue disproportionately affecting women. Films often portray IPV in ways that influence societal perceptions, either raising awareness or perpetuating harmful stereotypes, romanticizing abuse, and overlooking intersectional e...

HEA-GAN for high-fidelity low-light image enhancement and degradation-aware image augmentation using a hybrid deep learning and GAN framework

Abstract Poor vision and low-light conditions have a deleterious effect on the functioning of downstream computer-vision systems used in surveillance, autonomous driving, biomedical imaging, and remote sensing. Histogram equalization, Retinex based methods and manually crafted de...

Smart Tourism 2.0: unpacking the impact of AI technologies and IoT on travel experiences for Generation Z

Purpose The rapid advancement of digital technologies is reshaping the tourism industry, creating more connected, personalized and efficient travel experiences for modern travelers. This study aims to explore how Smart Tourism 2.0, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Inter...

Interface engineered perpendicular magnetic anisotropy-controlled propagation of magnetic domain

We report the impact of ferromagnetic layer thickness and stack configuration on the magnetic properties, perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA), modified magnetization switching mechanisms, and creep regime domain wall (DW) dynamics, including their propagation velocity, in a P...

Where the feed meets the table: a dual-perspective study of phygital dining experiences

Purpose Digital transformation has produced “the phygital restaurant,” where physical ambiance and digital interactivity converge to generate sensory, symbolic and socially mediated dining experiences. Despite the rapid proliferation of Instagram-optimized, technologically augmen...

Equity in the Courtroom: A Constitutional Reappraisal of Access to Justice in India

Access to justice forms an important part of the constitutional ideal of India, as evident from the promise made in the Preamble to guarantee social, economic and political justice to all. However, in reality, access to courts and law continues to be extremely challenging for man...

Adoption of AI-enabled features in e-pharmacies and their impact on consumer decision-making and purchase intention in India

Purpose This study aims to focus on understanding the utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled capabilities in e-pharmacies in India. The research is based on the principle of the technology acceptance model (TAM), and it is extended by introducing the notion of trust...

Decoding mobile payment adoption in the unorganized sector: the mediating role of merchant trust in a digital shift

The shift to cashless transactions has accelerated due to the quick growth of digital payment infrastructures in India. Due to technological, psychological, and security-related issues, acceptance of mobile payment systems among merchants in the unorganized retail sector remains...

Leakage-aware hybrid tabular deep learning with target-provenance auditing for calorie-expenditure prediction and constrained exercise food recommendation

Abstract Personalised exercise planning depends on calorie expenditure estimates derived from valid predictors. Published tabular recommenders rarely scrutinise the provenance of their outcome variable. We propose a leakage-aware, audit-first framework that combines hybrid tabula...

Recent advances of non-noble metal catalysts for efficient water electrolysis: types of water reactors, reaction mechanisms, and catalyst categories

Electrocatalytic water splitting offers a sustainable pathway for hydrogen production, yet the high cost and sluggish kinetics of noble-metal catalysts (e.g., Pt, IrO 2 , and RuO 2 ) severely hinder its commercialization. Recently, non-noble metal electrocatalysts have shown exce...

Revolutionizing Residential Living: A Systematic Review of IoT Applications, Challenges, and Future Trends in Smart-Home Automation

Background: This paper aims to systematically review, based on a set of 125 papers, smart-home automation with IoT from the perspective of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The main evidence synthesis was conducted on empi...

Introspecting Homosexual Psyche Through Literary Texts

Background: Homosexual rights movements have gained increasing visibility across South Asia, but legal and social attitudes remain uneven. Sri Lanka presents a particularly contradictory context in which same-sex relations remain criminalized while forms of social tolerance also...

Strain-specific structural variant landscapes shape mutation retention following mutagenesis in Caenorhabditis elegans

Classical mutational theories centered on single nucleotide polymorphisms suggest that outcrossing enhances the purging of deleterious mutations by promoting recombination. However, larger structural variants, such as insertions, deletions, and inversions, can suppress recombinat...

Effect of tool rotational speed on thermal and mechanical behaviour in friction stir welding of AA6092/17.5 SiCp-T6 composites

This study investigates the FSW of AA6092 reinforced with 17.5% SiC p in T6 condition, focusing on the effect of TRS (1000 rpm to 1750 rpm) on the thermal profiles, force-torque behaviour, microstructure, and mechanical characteristics. The results reveal that peak temperature in...

Comparative Performance Analysis of Building-Integrated Photovoltaics and Conventional Envelope Materials: Energy, Economic, and Environmental Assessment

The use of photovoltaic technologies in building envelopes has attracted more and more interest as a promising solution to building sustainability by considering energy efficiency, economic feasibility, and environmental impact issues altogether. This paper will provide an overal...

Risk-Adaptive Continuous Attestation for AI Agents

AI agents can perform powerful actions — reading files, sending emails, transferring funds, or deleting databases. Most security systems either check every action the same way (wasteful) or skip checking entirely (dangerous). We propose Risk-Adaptive Continuous Attestation (RACA)...

SGBS-00: SETT Governance Benchmark Series: Overview and Methodology

This document defines the common methodology for the SETT Governance Benchmark Series (SGBS), a set of four controlled benchmarks and one adversarial stress test. The series evaluates a specific architectural question: what cost and what tested evidence arise when probabilistic r...
