From Clinical Search Signals to Educational Hypotheses in Latin America A proposed Medical Affairs framework

Studies of physician information seeking describe recurring clinical questions and barriers to finding answers. Aggregate search patterns could inform educational planning, but a search is not a measurement of knowledge or competence. To develop a proposed framework for assessing...

Artificial Intelligence for Payer Population Health Risk stratification, care gaps, and intervention prioritization in chronic care

Payer population health requires a distinction between predicting an adverse outcome, identifying a documented care gap, and selecting a response. We organized public evidence on computational approaches to these functions in chronic care, with Latin America as the context of int...

Supportive AI in Primary Care and Internal Medicine Evidence, Limitations, and Governance for Latin America

Primary care and internal medicine involve multimorbidity, longitudinal follow-up, coordination, extensive documentation, and decisions under uncertainty. Recent evidence suggests that AI can support synthesis, documentation, clinical search, messaging, administrative prioritizat...

AI in Neurology Selected Applications, Evidence Maturity, and Governance for Latin America

This whitepaper examines selected artificial intelligence applications in neurology: stroke imaging and workflow, EEG and epilepsy, multimodal dementia assessment, movement analysis, multiple-sclerosis follow-up, and document synthesis. Evidence maturity is uneven. The corpus con...

Supportive AI in Image-Based Ophthalmology Evidence, Limitations, and Governance for Latin America

Within the selected corpus, there are image-based ophthalmology trials and artificial intelligence validations for bounded tasks. Fundus photography and optical coherence tomography allow detection, classification, and referral tasks to be delimited; however, algorithmic performa...

AI in gastroenterology and hepatology A narrative review of applications, evidence maturity, and governance implications for Latin America

Artificial intelligence applications in gastroenterology and hepatology have been evaluated in gastrointestinal endoscopy, image interpretation, liver fibrosis risk assessment, hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosis, and initial referral assessment (authorization or request for addit...

Physician Portraits Built with AI from Their Clinical Searches: An Exploratory Evaluation

Administrative registries record who is licensed to practice medicine, but not how each physician practices. The search history a physician leaves in a clinical search engine is, by contrast, behavior recorded as it happens: what they searched, when, and how they phrased it. This...
