From Two Players to a Galactic Network: Entry, Extinction, Coalitions, Cliques and Spatial Topology in Interstellar Strategic Interaction

Dark Forest arguments commonly reduce interstellar strategy to a bilateral encounter between two persistent civilisations. A galaxy, however, is an open population in which civilisations enter, disappear, form selective relationships and occupy a spatially constrained network. Th...

Reconstructing the Dark Forest as a Bayesian Game: Exact Conditions for Concealment, Pre-emption and Credible Contact

The Dark Forest hypothesis treats cosmic silence as the strategic consequence of uncertainty, catastrophic vulnerability and incentives for pre-emptive attack. Its central conclusion is usually stated intuitively rather than derived from an explicit incomplete-information game. T...

Agentic AI and the Dissolution of Managerial Authority: Organisational Sensegiving in Autonomous Decision-Making Systems

Agentic artificial intelligence (AI) is shifting from decision support to autonomous coordination, challenging established assumptions about managerial authority. This qualitative conceptual paper synthesises recent literature in algorithmic management, organisational theory, and...

The Conjunctive Misfortune Problem: Behavioural Tail Risk, Outcome Luck, and Punishment Cascades

A serious behavioural failure may be uncommon within a person’s history yet become the principal basis for judgments of character and future risk. This conceptual article develops the conjunctive misfortune problem: adverse conditions, culpable action, stochastic harm, categorica...

Narrative Hysteresis: The Presumption Gap, Gendered Epistemic Risk, and Reputational Non-Reversibility After Public Accusation

Legal systems can reverse convictions, dismiss charges, and acquit defendants, but public narratives are not designed to reverse with comparable speed or precision. This article develops narrative hysteresis as a theory of reputational path dependence after public accusation. It...

The Status-Punishment Paradox: Status-Amplified Schadenfreude, Moralized Reputational Aggression, and the Digital Afterlife of Punishment

Why can prior achievement become a liability after wrongdoing? This conceptual article integrates research on tall-poppy effects, social comparison, schadenfreude, moral outrage, public shaming, news values, and criminal-record stigma into a theory of the Status-Punishment Parado...

The Post-Economic Human: Artificial Intelligence, Ontological Displacement, and the Ideological Foundations of Future Conflict

Artificial intelligence is usually analysed as a productivity technology, a labour-market shock, or a governance problem. This article argues that its deeper political significance may arise from a fourth channel: ontological displacement. Ontological displacement occurs when a t...

Are Digital Commons the Future of Political Organization? A Critical Analysis of Post-Capitalist Governance

This paper critically examines the proposition that digital commons represent the future of political organization. Moving beyond utopian proclamations, it offers a rigorous analysis grounded in political theory, empirical evidence, and novel theoretical perspectives. The paper b...

Are We Living in an Algorithmically Determined World?

This paper critically examines the pervasive yet often unsubstantiated notion that we are living in an algorithmically determined world. While popular discourse and some academic literature suggest a monolithic takeover by algorithmic systems, this research argues for a more nuan...
