Covariance Intersection for Robust Sensor Fusion in Anti-drone Defense System

In this study, we aim to establish a radar sensor-based defense system against the threat of suicide drones, which are not limited to attacks on personnel but can also neutralize critical friendly assets, including armored vehicles. Since drone tracking relies heavily on sensor p...

Design and Flight Test of Kalman Filter and CNN Vision-based UAM Precision Landing System in GNSS-denied Environments

Urban air mobility (UAM) requires safe, precise takeoffs and landings at vertiports and helipads. However, in urban environments, global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based positioning accuracy can be degraded by signal blockage and multipath propagation, reducing landing pr...

Design and Flight Validation of Monocular-vision-based Relative Altitude Estimation for Precision Landing of Lightweight Aerial Vehicles

Monocular-vision-based precision landing is promising for small unmanned aerial vehicles operating under strict payload constraints. However, detection noise and image disturbances can degrade altitude estimation accuracy and destabilize terminal landing performance. This study p...
