Evaluation of Flashover Voltage and Proposal of Management Criteria Based on Critical Pollution Level for Indoor Switchgear Post Insulators

Indoor switchgear is generally considered low-risk for pollution; however, dust and salt can accumulate on insulator surfaces during long-term operation, raising flashover risk under humid conditions. This study evaluated soluble and non-soluble pollution effects on 12 kV-class e...

A Study on the AC Breakdown Characteristics of K6 Gas according to Moisture Concentration in a Quasi-uniform Field at Atmospheric Pressure

Regulation (EU) 2024/573 bans fluorinated gases in distribution switchgear rated 24kV and below from 2026. K6, a mixture of 10mol% PMVE (perfluoromethyl vinyl ether) in CO₂, is an early-stage SF6 replacement whose breakdown characteristics under varying field utilization factor a...

Comparison of Domestic and Overseas Cases and a Multi-Layer Conformity Framework for Promoting the Reuse and Remanufacturing of Distribution-Level Power Equipment in Korea

This study analyzes barriers to the reuse and remanufacturing of distribution-level power equipment in Korea and proposes a multi-layer conformity framework for procurement and grid application. Domestic conditions and cases in Japan, the United States, and Europe were compared a...
