PS1-11. Resolution Outcomes and Predictive Capacity of Pregnancy-Associated Glycoprotein (PAG) Concentrations in Lactating Dairy Cows with an Initial.

Abstract Pregnancy-associated glycoproteins (PAG) are widely used for pregnancy diagnosis in cattle, but cows classified as “recheck” present a challenge. This study aimed to characterize the outcomes of recheck diagnoses and evaluate the predictive value of initial concentration...

PS12-18. Divergent Prolactin Receptor Genotype Responses in Growth Performance, Feed Efficiency and Feeding Behavior in Beef Calves.

Abstract This study evaluated the effects of divergent prolactin receptor (PRLR) genotypes on feed intake, feeding behavior, feed efficiency, and growth performance in beef calves, with the objective of elucidating the physiological and behavioral mechanisms underlying genotype-a...

70. Understanding the Emissions of Feedlot Beef Cattle with Divergent Residual Methane Emissions.

Abstract Residual methane emission (RME) has been proposed as a novel metric to identify cattle that emit less methane independently of their feed intake and body weight. This study investigated how divergence in RME classification influences feed intake, growth rate, feed effici...
