Effects of the Glycerol/Quercetin Ratio on the Structure and Tensile Behavior of PVA-Based Films

Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)-based films containing glycerol and quercetin were prepared by casting as potential active-packaging materials. The effects of the glycerol/quercetin ratio on structural, thermal, mechanical, barrier, and antioxidant properties were investigated. Neat PV...

Rheological, Viscoelastic, and Dynamic Mechanical Behavior of ZnO-Filled and MA-Modified PP/SEBS Filaments for Fused Filament Fabrication

Abstract Immiscible polyolefin–elastomer blends often exhibit limited impact resistance and unstable melt-flow behavior due to weak interfacial adhesion and inefficient stress transfer between phases. These limitations are relevant for fused filament fabrication (FFF), where fila...

Radiometrically Equivalent Comparison of 254 nm Low-Pressure Mercury Lamps and InGaN 280 nm UV–C LEDs for Surface Disinfection

Abstract Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is traditionally based on low-pressure mercury lamps emitting at 254 nm, whereas UV–C light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have emerged as promising mercury-free alternatives. However, direct comparisons between these technologies are fr...

Structure–Property–Durability Relationships in Grape-Derived Pectin/Kraft Lignin Films Before and After Accelerated UV Aging

Pectin films are promising renewable materials for biodegradable coatings; however, their high hydrophilicity and limited resistance to ultraviolet (UV) radiation restrict practical applications. This work investigated the influence of kraft lignin (0–5 wt%) on the structure–prop...
